 Angelo Caliendo

Angelo Caliendo is a member of the Nola Bar and advises clients primarily on administrative and corporate law, with particular experience in matters involving public authorities, data protection, transparency and compliance systems, including under Legislative Decree 231/2001.

He graduated in Law in 2007 from the Second University of Naples and developed significant expertise in data protection through his work with the Italian Data Protection Authority from 2006 to 2010. Over the course of his career, he has also held a number of appointments involving public bodies and local authorities, including roles as commissioner ad acta and assignments relating to civic protection, equal opportunities and the functioning of local administrations.

He is a member of the Board and Head of the Legal Department of Eurispes – the Institute for Political, Social and Economic Studies – and serves on several scientific bodies established by the Institute, including observatories focusing on security, data protection, healthcare and legality. In 2018, he coordinated the National Conference on Legality promoted by the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor’s Office, Eurispes and the Campania Region.

He is also a member of the Academic Board of the Second-Level University Master’s Programme in “Prevention of Criminal Infiltration Risks in Economic Activities and the Management, Administration and Reuse of Seized and Confiscated Assets” at Parthenope University of Naples. He has contributed to numerous Eurispes publications and research reports, including the Rapporto Italia, the Agromafie Reports and studies on legality, security, public administration, healthcare, transport and broader economic and social issues.
